HELLO! MINI

A Road Trip in Kyushu with a Classic Mini

Kyushu, the southern island of Japan, offers a slower rhythm — coastal roads, open landscapes and quiet countryside.

This was our first journey there with a classic Mini, beginning with a ferry crossing from Osaka and unfolding into a road trip shaped by small, unexpected moments.

At Osaka Port, the journey begins with a ferry crossing to Kyushu.

A stop at MAD LAND, a coffee stand set in a renovated gas station — a place that feels made for the road.

A small roadside shop with a gelato sign, adding a soft touch of color to the day.

The road opens to the sea, where the horizon stretches endlessly.

Along the coastal road, a red Mini with a roof rack appeared. We pulled in behind, sharing a quiet moment together.

A red London bus appears along the way — a familiar British presence in an unexpected place.

The road narrows into the countryside, surrounded by open fields and stillness.

Inside the garage café, the sound of slot cars fills the space, bringing a sense of movement and play.

Time slows down over burgers and conversation.

Two Minis side by side, marking the end of the journey.

Sometimes, the road leads to places we never planned to find.
